The Lufkin Area Radio Control Club is a non-profit organization that promotes the aero modeling hobby through fun, fellowship and learning.
Our Flying facility is located at the end of North Martin Luther King Drive, behind the Ellen Trout Zoo.

We fly every Sunday 2PM til Dark. Weather

Club meetings are held the first Sunday of every month at the flying field at 2:30PM.
We strive to promote these aspects:
To promote interest in Radio Control Model Airplanes.
To secure and maintain a suitable flying site.
To encourage assistance, cooperation and interchange of ideas and techniques of radio control model building and flying among members.
To encourage safety, proficiency, and sportsmanship in flying radio control model airplanes.
Family Membership - Includes one (1) Class A member. Other Family members include his (her) spouse, and the immediate children.
The cost is $100 per family.
And there is one Special Membership
Associate Membership - It is anticipated that the club may from time to time desire to recognize a person, other than a club member, who has made an outstanding contribution to the club or the sport by extending them the courtesy of the club and making them an associate member. Associate membership shall be awarded by 80% vote of the club membership at any membership meeting and shall carry no initiation fee or dues.
As a condition precedent to any member (or visitor) flying solo at the Club Flying Field, he (she) will be required to have the following:
Must be a current member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) Click here for membership application.
Must agree to abide by all AMA and Club safety regulations, and flying rules.
